What is A Cappella Choir?
This ensemble meets two mornings a week from 7:10-7:40. They prepare music for a concert in January, the Solo & Ensemble competition in March, and a concert in May. This group consists of mostly Juniors and Seniors from the Select Choir.
Who is A Cappella Choir's Advisor?
About the Advisor: Mrs. Rebecca Schultz has been teaching in the Waupun School District for 16 years. She has directed the high school choirs for the past 10 years. In addition to leading the choirs, she is also the Drama Club advisor, directing musicals and plays each school year.
Activities/Events
If A Cappella Choir achieves a *1st rating at Solo & Ensemble, they will perform at State Solo & Ensemble on Saturday, April 30 on the UW-Oshkosh campus.
They will be performing "Take On Me" and "House of Gold" on Saturday, March 5th at the Solo & Ensemble event hosted by Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School.
Mission/Goal
The purpose of A Cappella choir is to offer a different singing experience than what is offered in Open and Select Choir. Students become more independent musicians by participating in this ensemble. Show Choir and A Cappella choirs are the only WAJSH ensembles who compete for a rating.

Alex Stephens, a former student, said "Well to start off, you were a trooper by coming in the morning to practice. The ensembles are a ton of fun when we performed because it would sound so nice. The most fun thing that we did was my senior year we went to state and took 1st."
Rebecca Schultz, the director, said "In A Cappella, performances are challenging in that the singers cannot rely on an instrument to give them their pitch, but these kids can hit those perfect pitches to make the songs sound so beautiful. I wish more kids would come out and see the wide opportunities to have so much fun."
